§ 10.08.010. Speed limits.

  • The established speed limits for motor vehicles operated upon the streets, alleys and public ways within the city shall be as follows:

    (1)

    Twenty miles per hour on Fourth Street from Elm Street east to Cypress Street;

    (2)

    Forty-five miles per hour on Fifth Street from the west corporate line of Highway 38 to a point two hundred fourteen feet east of Maple Street;

    (3)

    Thirty-five miles per hour on Fifth Street from a point two hundred fourteen feet east of Maple Street to Pine Street;

    (4)

    Thirty miles per hour on Fifth Street from Pine Street to Walnut Street;

    (5)

    Thirty-five miles per hour on Fifth Street from Walnut Street to Spruce Street;

    (6)

    Forty-five miles per hour from Spruce Street to the east corporate line;

    (7)

    Thirty-five miles per hour on Third Street from a point one thousand three hundred twenty feet east of the west corporate line east to Iowa Highway No. 38;

    (8)

    Twenty-five miles per hour on all other streets within the city;

    (9)

    Ten miles per hour on all alleys and other public ways within the city.
