§ 10.16.140. Definitions.

  • As used in Sections 10.16.150 through 10.16.200:

    "Junk or obsolete motor vehicle" means a motor vehicle or portion thereof not in operable condition or not licensed for the current year as provided by the law.

    "Motor vehicle" means every vehicle which is self-propelled. The term "car" or "automobile" shall be synonymous with the term "motor vehicle."

    "Owner" or "operator" means every individual who operates a motor vehicle as the owner thereof or as the agent, employee, or permittee of the owner or is in actual physical control of the motor vehicle at the last time it was moved or operated.

    "Stored vehicle" means a motor vehicle which has been parked in the same location without having been moved at least twenty-five feet for a period of forty-eight hours.

    "Streets" means streets, alleys, parking lots, avenues, roads, boulevards, highways or other public ways located in the city.
