§ 11.04.120. Dumping of snow.

Latest version.
  • It shall be unlawful if any person causes snow/ice to be thrown, pushed or placed, from private property, sidewalks or driveways onto the city streets, alleys and right-of-ways, in such a manner that obstructs gutters/drains, impedes vehicle traffic flow and visibility or creates any unsafe condition therein. Exception to this, would be, in a residential district where snow may be placed in the right-of-way as long as it does not result in a violation as previously stated; and in a business/commercial district wherein the cleaning of drives/parking lots is absolutely necessary to move the snow onto the street, alley or right-of-way temporarily, with the business/commercial owner or agent to provide arrangements for the prompt removal of said snow placement. Failure to do so will result in the city removing the accumulation with costs thereof being assessed to the responsible party.
