§ 14.16.011. Fuel and energy cost adjustment.

Latest version.
  • The foregoing rates for each gallon of water shall be increased by dividing the total gallons of water sold each month into the fuel and energy purchased by the combined water and wastewater departments. The resulting number will be the "fuel factor." The total gallons consumed monthly by a customer shall be multiplied [by the fuel] factor to generate the fuel and energy cost adjustment. Adjustments for the cost of fuel and energy purchased shall be charged monthly and shall be based on the average cost of fuel and energy purchased during the preceding month. The monthly "fuel factor" shall be transferred each month from the water fund to the general fund.
