§ 19.32.030. Use exception.

  • The following principal uses are deemed appropriate on review by the board of adjustment in accordance with the provisions stated in this title:

    (1)

    Agricultural feed and seed sales, but excluding grinding, mixing, and blending;

    (2)

    Animal hospitals and veterinary clinics;

    (3)

    Billiard parlors and pool halls;

    (4)

    Book stores;

    (5)

    Dance halls;

    (6)

    Funeral homes and mortuaries;

    (7)

    Gas stations;

    (8)

    Liquor stores;

    (9)

    Private clubs and lodges;

    (10)

    Public buildings and community buildings;

    (11)

    Public utilities;

    (12)

    Roadside stands for the sale of fresh fruits, vegetables, nursery stock and plant food, but excluding sales in bulk;

    (13)

    Service stations;

    (14)

    Restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs;

    (15)

    Wholesale display and sales rooms and offices;

    (16)

    Welding and machine shops;

    (17)

    Any other use exceptions deemed appropriate on review by the board of adjustment to be of the same general character as the foregoing use exceptions;

    (18)

    An apartment, provided that only one apartment shall be permitted on each site in the C-1 district. A "site" shall be considered to be an existing commercial establishment, irrespective of the number of lots or buildings comprising each site.
