§ 10.16.070. Citation for violation and fines.

(a)

If a citation for a vehicle parked in violation of this chapter is returned to the police department within two business days, the penalty shall be five dollars for a parking violation. The penalty shall be fifty dollars for a violation of any of the provisions of Chapter 10.36 of the Wilton Municipal Code regarding snow routes. The fine shall be one hundred dollars for a violation of Section 10.16.050 of the Wilton Municipal Code involving handicapped parking spaces. All the fines described in this subsection shall be payable at the Wilton police department pursuant to the procedures set forth in this chapter.

(b)

If the citation is returned to the police station more than two business days after having been issued, or the citation is contested by the violator, the violator shall be made to appear before a magistrate or the associate district court judge.
