§ 15.16.110. Excavations—Open trench work.

All excavations required for the installation of a building sewer shall be open trench unless otherwise approved by the city. Pipelaying and backfilling of the trench shall be in accordance with the following, except that no backfill shall be placed until the work has been inspected and approved:
(1)

Cast iron soil pipe: AWWA Specification C600-6A;

(2)

Clay sewer pipe: ASTM Specification C12-74;

(3)

Copper tube: accepted plumbing practice;

(4)

Plastic pipe: ASTM Specification D2774-72.
