§ 15.16.130. Connection into public sewer.

  • Connection of the building sewer into the public sewer shall be made at a "Y" branch, if such branch is available at a suitable location. If a suitably located "Y" branch is not available, the connection shall be made by installing a cast iron tapping saddle on the public sewer in a manner and at a location approved by the city. The saddle shall be installed with its centerline on a radial line of the public sewer and at a forty-five-degree angle with the vertical axis of the public sewer. The saddle shall not extend past the inner surface of the pipe and the connection shall be made secure and watertight by encasement in concrete.
