§ 10.16.020. Restrictions.

  • No person shall park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other vehicular traffic or in compliance with law or at the direction of a police officer in any of the following places:

    (1)

    Upon any sidewalk in the town;

    (2)

    In front of any public or private driveway;

    (3)

    Within any intersection;

    (4)

    Within five feet of a fire hydrant;

    (5)

    Upon any crosswalk;

    (6)

    Upon any portion of the right-of-way of Fifth Street from the east corporate limit of the city to the west corporate limit of the city;

    (7)

    At the intersection of any street and Fifth Street, no parking is permitted on the side streets from the right-of-way line of Fifth Street to a point twenty feet from Fifth Street or twenty feet outside of the cross-walks at said intersection, whichever distance is greater;

    (8)

    Within twenty feet of a driveway entrance to any fire station;

    (9)

    Within the radius of any cul-de-sac;

    (10)

    On the east side of Elm Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street;

    (11)

    On any street when to do so would impede the normal flow of traffic;

    (12)

    On the north side and south side of that portion of West Street which runs east and west;

    (13)

    On that portion of the south side of Third Street within fifty feet of Cedar Street;

    (14)

    On the south side of East Third Street, between Chestnut Street and the east city limits of the city of Wilton, Iowa;

    (15)

    On the south and east sides of Nicolaus Drive between Fifth and Third Streets in the city of Wilton, Iowa;

    (16)

    On the west and east side of Cypress Street from East Summit to East Division, Monday through Friday seven a.m. until four p.m. Violators of this section will be ticketed fifty dollars and will be towed at the owner's expense.

    (17)

    On the north side of West Third Street from the alley between Cedar and Elm Streets forty feet to the east with hours of restriction of seven a.m. to four p.m.;

    (18)

    On the south side of Oveson Drive a distance of four hundred feet west of Cypress Street.
